terms of service
last updated october 18, 2026
these terms apply to anyone who creates a jollygig account or uses the jollygig service. by signing up, you agree to them. if you don't agree, don't sign up.
what jollygig is
jollygig has two products, which you can use separately or together. team health delivers anonymous pulse surveys to members of a team and surfaces aggregate signal (called personas) to that team's manager. scheduling turns three-point estimates into a distribution of finish dates for a project, with percentile dates and guidance on what drives them. forecasts are estimates, not promises: jollygig does not guarantee that any project will finish by any date. the privacy policy describes the data model in detail.
your account
- you sign in with a magic link sent to your work email. you are responsible for keeping access to that email secure.
- you may not share your account with another person. each individual using the service should have their own account.
- you must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required to consent to data processing in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
plans, trials, and billing
- every organization starts with a 30-day free trial, no card needed. if you add a card, the plan you chose starts when the trial ends and the card is charged then. if you don't add a card, the plan ends when the trial does and your data stays readable. you may cancel at any time during the trial without charge.
- a plan is team health (starter, which covers one team, or growth, which covers up to ten), scheduling (up to ten workspaces), or both, at the prices shown on the pricing page. annual plans bill once per year; monthly plans bill once per month. having both products takes 20% off the scheduling price for as long as you have both.
- pricing is flat per team (team health) or per organization (scheduling), never per seat. inviting more members does not increase the price.
- you can change products or the billing cycle at any time. changes apply right away: the difference for the rest of the period is charged to your card at once, or credited to your account if the change lowers the price.
- we may revise pricing at most once per twelve months, with at least 30 days' notice. existing annual subscriptions keep their current price until renewal.
- payment is processed by stripe. if a payment fails you keep full access for 14 days while stripe retries it. if it still hasn't gone through after that, the organization becomes read-only until the card is updated or the plan is canceled; nothing is deleted.
- prices are in us dollars and shown before tax. where sales tax or vat applies, it is calculated from your billing address and shown on your invoice.
cancellation and refunds
- you may cancel at any time from the billing page. cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (or of the trial), you keep everything until then, and you can reactivate before it. we do not refund the rest of a period.
- we do not issue refunds automatically. if you were charged by mistake, write to help@jollygig.com and we will put it right. if you cancel within 14 days of the first paid charge and have not actively used the product, you may also ask for a full refund the same way.
- after a plan ends everything stays readable and exportable, and you can resubscribe at any time to pick up where you left off. deleting your account deletes your data, and ends the subscription of any organization that goes with it, immediately and without a refund.
- what happens to your data if you cancel: nothing is deleted when a plan ends. the organization turns read-only and stays that way for as long as it exists: everyone can still sign in, read and export, and the owner can resubscribe any time. the owner can delete teams and workspaces whenever they like, and once the owner is the only person left in the organization, deleting their account removes the organization and everything in it immediately. to close an organization with other people in it, the owner can use the close this organization button on the organization page, which ends the subscription and deletes its teams and workspaces at once; or remove or transfer the teams first, then delete the account. database backups are kept for 14 days, so deleted data has left those copies within 14 days. anonymous answers are still removed once they are older than each team's retention period (24 months unless the team chose another).
acceptable use
you may not use jollygig to:
- circumvent the anonymity firewall, including by attempting to coerce members to share their individual responses.
- add members to a team without their consent.
- scrape, reverse-engineer, or otherwise extract data beyond what the product surfaces.
- resell, white-label, or sublicense the service without a written agreement.
- use the service in violation of applicable law, including labor, privacy, or anti-discrimination law.
your content
"your content" means the team configuration, action plans, and notes you create, and the workspaces you build in scheduling: activities, estimates, dependencies, calendars and the forecasts run from them. you own it. you grant us a limited license to store and display it back to you and the people you share it with. we will not use your content to train machine-learning models. apart from the service providers listed on the subprocessors page, we will not share it with anyone outside your organization without your written instruction.
service-level expectations
we aim for 99.5% monthly uptime. we do not currently offer a contractual sla, and we do not publish a status page yet. if something looks down, write to help@jollygig.com.
warranty disclaimer
jollygig is provided "as is." we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the personas it surfaces will accurately reflect every aspect of your team's wellbeing. the personas are tools for reflection, not diagnoses. likewise, scheduling forecasts are statistical estimates built from the numbers you enter; they say how likely a date is, not that it will happen.
limitation of liability
to the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of jollygig is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
data processing
jollygig acts as a data processor when processing personal data on behalf of customers in the course of providing the service. customers act as the data controller. our privacy policy describes what data is collected and how it is handled. the full list of subprocessors (google cloud and firebase, stripe, mailchimp transactional and godaddy) is at /subprocessors.
if your organization requires a signed data-processing addendum (dpa) — for example to comply with gdpr, uk gdpr, pipeda, or ccpa — the template dpa is published, and we will prepare one for you at help@jollygig.com. a dpa takes effect only when executed in writing by both parties; these terms do not constitute a dpa on their own.
changes to these terms
we may update these terms. material changes will be announced at least 30 days before they take effect, by email to your organization's owner. continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance.
governing law
these terms are governed by the laws of the state of delaware, usa, without regard to conflict of laws principles. any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in delaware.
